Holidays 2014

2014 went out with a bang for the Stout family!  We had quite the year in our house and it deserved some celebration! We have so much to be grateful for this year, as always. Our top three this year would have to be:

1) The birth of Corbin, who has changed our lives forever for the better
2) Our families, who love and support us each day of our lives
3) The Gospel, without which we would be totally lost in this world

And now...prepare for picture OVERLOAD!

THANKSGIVING: Spent in Forth Worth with the Stout side of the family

We finally finished our grateful door. This was super fun and I think we will have to make it a family tradition!

Corbin and his Grandma Stout

Waiting in line to see "Ice!"  at the Gaylord Hotel in Fort Worth

A chilly 9 degrees...Corbin was such a good sport! I think he stayed the warmest of us all.

A Thanksgiving snooze for these two boys.

Thanksgiving Turkey bowl in the backyard.

A little "Sean and Kendall Concert" for the nephews. Their favorite song was "Let It Go," of course.

Corbin and his cousin Seirra LOVE each other. :)

Pedi with the sisters!

CHRISTMAS BREAK:

December in Galveston...

Our good ol' Christmas tree. I have never met someone who loved Christmas trees more than Sean.

Our favorite gift this Christmas: having this guy with us.

Probably the cutest Santa that has ever been...

Sean and I took our first date just the two of us since Corbin was born!  We went to yet another ice exhibit at Moody Gardens here in G Town. Thanks to our friends Holly and Jordan Pitt for watching Corbin for us!

This one kills me. Adorable. I LOVE being this boy's mom!

We spent the first days of Sean's break in Fort Worth. Corbin LOVED playing with ALL of his Stout side cousins. And they loved him. He had his fluffy head rubbed so many times by all of the kids I think his hair actually started to lay down.

Caydon and Dallas making "snow angels" on our walk to the park.

It's not vacation without some Red Robin.
We arrived in Utah the day before Christmas Eve and spent the next 4 days at our cabin in Heber. It was truly magical and will be a Christmas we remember forever.
Corbin's first time opening presents! He got to open one on Christmas Eve, because his mom and dad were a little bit excited for his first Christmas.

Reading some stories on Christmas Eve.

Some cousin love.

Christmas Eve dinner!

Christmas Eve dance off. What happened in the loft this night, stays in loft. Lets just say my life is forever scarred after seeing Ty's "booty shake."

My Mom's dance to some Michael Buble "Feelin' Good."

I think Sean and I went sledding every day we were at the cabin.

Eating some snow...

Christmas morning at 6:30am. My parents bought Sean a guitar so he would have one in Utah. We had fun singing some Jason Mraz to start our Christmas morning.

The view from our back porch is breathtaking.

Jamming by the open fire...

Sean and I took a walk around the neighborhood. It was AMAZING! So much snow!!!! We were the first ones that day to make tracks in the new snow. Such a fun experience!

Snowflakes!

Sean and I's first time on the snow mobiles. It took a while for me to get used to, but it was TONS of fun!

We dug out my wedding dress and hey...still fits!

Some Grandpa-Corbin bonding time...

Plane ride back to Texas...some screaming and a blowout later, we finally made it!

NEW YEAR: The entire Stout side of the family brought 2015 in together. It was a BLAST!

The winking game...

Corbin and his uncle Evan really bonded this trip...

Kids dance party...

turns into kids dog pile...

Uncle Kendall making balloon animals for all the kids. His hidden talent that suddenly appeared this vacation.

Thanks to Evan and Stephanie, or as I like to say Stephan and Evanie, we had a night filled of adult "Minute to Win It" games. We laughed all evening!

Shaking the ping-pong balls out of the tissue box, done to Taylor Swifts "Shake it Off." Hilarious.

Hang the ornament on the twine...

I think Dallas wanted to look like his Aunt Halie, who is over 6 months pregnant...

Our masterpieces....

Some bubbly to say goodbye to 2014 and hello to the new year!

One of my favorite traditions I married into: decorate the Christmas tree at midnight to start off the new year.

New Years Day-all of the kids waking up in the living room.

All of the Stout grandkids with their amazing grandma and grandpa.

This vacation was a BLAST and definitely one to remember! But is was nice to get back home to our little island.

Random: Sean was pretty excited when he looked down and saw he had accidentally peeled his string cheese into the shape of Texas. He insisted I take a picture.

  1. Shoot, this was such a good post! Even though we rarely get to see each other, it's good to at least be able to know what's going on in your life! You have the cutest baby boy and he sure looks like he is going to be a handful when he starts walking. It's so great to be able to read and see pics of all your adventures. Miss you!
